One screen at a time
With more than one monitor the app can treat the screens separately or as a single wide canvas. The choice is made in the Control Panel and applies to whatever you set next as well as to the wallpaper already running.
Seeing your screens
- Click the active wallpaper counter at the bottom of the sidebar to open the Control Panel.
- Read Display Layout - one card per monitor, numbered the way Windows numbers them.
- Each card shows the wallpaper playing on that screen, or No Wallpaper if nothing has been set there.
Click the monitor card. The selected screen is marked with a purple number badge next to the placement options, and the buttons underneath then apply to that screen - including where a new wallpaper will be set.
Placement method
- Selected screen only - each screen keeps its own wallpaper. Select a monitor, set a wallpaper, and only that monitor changes.
- Span across screens - one wallpaper stretches across the whole desktop, which is what a wide panoramic scene wants.
- Duplicate same wallpaper - the same wallpaper plays on every screen on its own, so it looks right on each monitor instead of being stretched across the bezels.
Yes. Every screen playing a video or web wallpaper runs its own player, so two video wallpapers roughly double the work. Settings > Performance can pause playback while you game or while you are on battery, and Settings > Wallpaper has the stream quality and player choices when you need to lighten the load further.
Common questions
With Selected screen only, a screen stays empty until you select it and set a wallpaper. Open the Control Panel, click that monitor's card, then set a wallpaper from the Library.
It stops playback on the selected screen without removing anything from the Library - the button is disabled while that screen has no wallpaper. Set a wallpaper on that monitor again and it starts back up.
