How to Pick the Files You Want to Delete?

Every result is a Duplicate Group: the same video or photo stored more than once. Pick the copies you do not need, then clean them up in the next chapter.

Step 1: Expand a group

Click a group header to expand or collapse it. Inside you can see the preview, the full path, the format, the resolution, the size, the date and the similarity percentage of each file.

Step 2: Tick the files to remove

Tick the checkbox on the left of each copy you want to get rid of. The Selected: n counter in the toolbar follows your selection.

Step 3: Or let a button decide for you

  • Keep Best: keeps the best quality file of the group and selects the rest.
  • Keep Newest: keeps the newest file of the group and selects the rest.
  • Delete Selected: selects the files you ticked in this group.
  • Compare: opens the two files side by side.

Step 4: Use the Selection menu for bulk choices

The Selection dropdown applies a rule to every group at once:

  • Select 100% Identical (Keep First)
  • Select 100% Identical Except Size (Keep Smallest)
  • Select Lowest Duration / Lowest Quality (Keep longest / Best Quality)
  • Select Identical Duration (Keep Smallest)
  • Clear Selection, Open In Folder

Step 5: Check the count before you continue

Make sure Selected shows the number you expect. Nothing is deleted until you press Execute.
