Wallpaper Lively X is a Windows desktop application published by Software Union ("we", "us"). It is distributed through the Microsoft Store and is a derivative work of the open-source Lively Wallpaper project.
The app has no user account, no sign-in and no telemetry. Your wallpapers, settings and favourites are kept on your own PC. The app contacts the internet only for the features described below, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
Data stored on your PC
The app keeps its working data in your own user profile, at %LOCALAPPDATA%\LivelyWPF. Nothing in this folder is uploaded to us.

These files may contain wallpaper titles, file paths, the names of applications your pause rules mention, and your monitor identifiers. They contain no name, e-mail address or payment information.
To delete everything: uninstall the app from Windows, then delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\LivelyWPF folder.
When the app goes online
Like any program that talks to a server, a request carries your IP address and a user-agent string; the operators of those servers may keep ordinary access logs. The app itself contacts only the following:

Web wallpapers you add yourself
A wallpaper that is itself a web page (an .html file, a URL, a YouTube or Twitch link) runs inside an embedded browser. That content can load scripts, fonts or media from servers chosen by whoever made it, and those requests are between you and that third party. We do not control that content and this policy does not cover it.
Purchases
The optional premium unlock (monthly subscription or one-time lifetime) is sold by Microsoft as an in-app purchase of this app in the Microsoft Store. Your payment details are entered in the Store and processed by Microsoft; the app never sees them. The app only receives the entitlement answer - "is this Microsoft account entitled to premium?" - which we also cache locally so the app behaves correctly when you are offline.
Refunds, billing questions and payment history are handled by Microsoft through your Microsoft account.
What we do not do
- No analytics or telemetry SDK is included in the app: it does not report usage, crash or device data to us.
- There is no advertising inside the application.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with data brokers.
- The app does not read the content of your files. It scans your wallpaper folder so it can list the wallpapers it manages, and it lists running processes only to apply the pause rules you configure.
- The app does not require, and does not ask for, an e-mail address or a login.
This website
The pages on winappcenter.com are served with two Google services, the same as the rest of this site:
- Google Analytics - aggregate visit statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type).
- Google AdSense - advertising on some pages, which may use cookies or device identifiers to select and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have consented.
You can control personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your browser's cookie settings let you refuse or clear these cookies.
Links on this site lead to other products and sites; their own policies apply once you follow them.
Children
The application and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app has no collection mechanism of its own; if you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by e-mail), contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- See or delete the app's data: it is all in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\LivelyWPF; delete that folder at any time. - Stop the app's online features: if you do not open the store, do not buy premium and do not use weather widgets, the app makes no requests at all apart from the optional update check. The store catalogue is cached, so browsing works offline afterwards.
- Ask us: for any question about data protection - including an access or deletion request for anything you have sent us by e-mail - write to the address below and we will answer within a reasonable period.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always on this page, and changes take effect when it is posted.
